On Thursday, 29 November 2012, the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change confirmed the Introduction of the Energy Bill to the House of Commons alongside the Annual Energy Statement.

The Energy and Climate Change Committee conducted pre-legislative scrutiny on the Electricity Market Reform provisions of the draft Bill.
