What is the Internet of Things?
At its core, the Internet of Things refers to physical devices that are connected to the internet and can collect, share, or respond to data. These are everyday objects that have been upgraded with sensors, software, and other technologies so they can communicate with each other or with us. Importantly, many IoT devices work automatically, without needing much human input.
